64. DE - Tom Carper (D) up for reelection

Likely very safe. First elected as State Treasurer back in the '70's, then became our sole member in the House and served a number of terms, then when our current Rep - Mike Castle (R) was term limited as Gov. he and Carper basically switched jobs, and Carper served two terms as Gov.. He then ran against and defeated the Bill Roth (R) our then long serving Senator.
