Schwarzenegger's photo ops can be so splendid, it's a wonder they don't sell popcorn in the lobby. His ambitious reform agenda, though, is losing box office appeal among California voters.

But this year, Schwarzenegger's task is far more complicated, and already there are signs that his latest antics have limited box office appeal. A Field Poll released in late January showed a 10 percent drop in Arnold's approval rating - from 65 percent to 55 percent. Among Democrats, that figure is even lower, and 53 percent of voters say California is on the "wrong track," a measure of dissatisfaction that generally spells trouble that generally spells trouble for any incumbent.
