I have seen how people on this board react toward African-Americans, and there have been a number of threads that make me question just how much Democrats really respect black Americans. I've been very offended by some of the posts of Caucasians and others on this site, and as a black man I do not feel that this country is at that point yet. I have witnessed so-called Progressives on this site make some definite racist remarks. That is, remarks that most blacks -- not necessarily the ones on DU -- would find offensive, and I'm not talking about the damn trolls that wander in here daily.
Do I think I'll see a black President in my life-time? I cannot really say, and while I do believe it is a possibility, I do not think that Obama will be the one.
