31. They pull this shit all the time

They always tack on amendments that have nothing to with the bill. They often sneak it in. It blows and I think it is a very retarded practice but Senator Byrd (D-WV) is famous for using this practice to funnel money into his state. "Pork-barrel" is where they use this to help their state or special interest.

The actual Senators don't read each and every part of everything they vote on. Sometimes their staff doesn't either. That's congress for you. :shrug: It's fucked up.
