25. No Government; Only Corporations
This all seems to me to be the inevitable end-result of the corporate takeover of government, and the importation of its ways to what used to be the ways of government. Suddenly, from the corporate world, you have all these consultants and managers--PR-style--of information; instruction on appearing on the media; secrecy as to how laws are now made and slander campaigns against anyone who tries to stop it. The operations of government are not open anymore, but totally secret, and nobody answers questions about anything, but instead laughs at and ridicules anyone who complains about the system now--a well-oiled machine. The concern is not, now, for the greatest good for the greatest number of people, but the opposite, a narrowing-down of all knowledge about the operation to a very few "insiders" who now put on a show for the rest of us, managing and manipulating the presentation of things so that it seems that everything this cabal does is "popular" and "approved-of."

All law is now tailored toward increasing profit and market share of individual, huge corporations, which is why the laws they pass make no sense, never address our concerns, and even make problems such as unemployment and pollution worse. This fascistic control of the way everything will be referred to, and the way everything will be done, and heavy punishment of anyone who has any other concern but the advancement of the corporate system, is now the one total way of public life here. They have merged themselves to a very small number of huge corporations owning almost all public information outlets, because they had already killed the enforcement of anti-trust laws; they have an unbroken flow of only their propaganda, unanswered, because they killed the "equal time" Fairness Doctrine; and all coverage of their "President"/oil executive, is promotion, hype, PR, just like the corporate world, a neverending commercial; not news--there is no news anymore. All the fake events with fake audiences and fake questions, and fake "reporters" covering these things--it only would have been unethical if you had had the old "honesty" framework. "It's all business" now. All these things are melding together--fake "elections" on corporate vote "counting" machines, cheerleading corporate "news" media owned by the same corporations, wars started so these same corporations can price-gouge the American armed forces or can open up new markets, new laws that make previously open Congressional processes now secret, a media that will not report on it--one huge, interlocking conspiracy.

This is the way everything will be handled from now on, with us on the outside looking in, at what used to be our country.
