No one knows the whole story.
Things can be done thru surrogates.

If a candidate can have money spent on his behalf,
I assume they would do so.

If someone is serious about '08,
and they have a rich patron,
ther are working to start their own
private team, in Iowa and NH, today.

If the first primary day were spread out to include
more and larger states, the advantge of ...
four years ahead of time - having your rich patron pick up the tab ...
would be reduced.
