So, your sis is latching onto a colloquial phrase you used rather than the spirit of the phrase, which is:

All I want him to do is admit responsibility for all of the things that happened because of his inappropriate choice in federal appointees and disengaged behavior during the time of national crisis.

Beyond that, of course there is a next step.

Making sure that we elect national and local leaders who represent the people of the United States, and not multi-national corporations.
