If he goes to Miers and says "I want you to withdraw" it will become an "I have decided to withdraw my nomination in order to devote more time to (fill in the blank)"

Even when Bush "accepted responsibility" for FEMA failures during Katrina, he NEVER said "I should have spent less time fake-strumming my guitar and sucking cake off my fingers and more time being president."

If Bush withdraws the nomination, he's admitting failure. Ain't gonna happen.
