26. It would be stupid (and unfair) to publically scrutinize the cop if he
has yet to press charges or pursue a lawsuit. What if he doesn't? Then you'd look like someone who graduated from the Karl Rove Academy of Republican Dirty Tricks.

I'd get suspicious of the cop if he pursues a lawsuit, as was rumored in a couple of articles. Probably also if he insists on making a Capitol Murder case out of this (no pun intended). But that's "if".
