12. I don't think it's totally MSM on this one.
Look at the posts on DU. For every one on the Homeland Security story or on delay, there's about four on McKinney.
In addition, I think the situation at the Capitol Building has become needlessly vile in the way people describe it. I've read posts where the officer is "a racist pig" or "he is part of bushco" that this is all a secret plot to get back at the Dems for delay, etc. On the other side of the aisle, there are right wingers calling her "stupid" "arrogant" many of the know-nothings on tv have focused on the way she dresses, etc.
There just seems to be more emotion spent on the story at the Capitol and it's not entirely the fault of the MSM.
For my money, delay and the DHS story should be the focus, followed by Iraq and the Capitol Building story should be fourth.
One another personal note: If she wasn't wearing her ID, she should have been stopped. Anyone who has ever worked with the federal government knows when you're on a security detail visual recognition is not enough to just let someone pass through. Ask anyone who's ever been an MP. If you don't stop them, you are subject to being fired or severely reprimanded (civilian) or get an Article-15 (military).
