Here's what I've got:

1) "we" here is Liz Cheney's group. She's the Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of State, and she has a group of underlings. They apparently go with her on trips. She was reportedly seen in Dubai, purportedly meeting with Reza Pahlavi.

2) "The groups she's contacted" - one of them in the Center for Human Rights Defenders, headed by Mohamad Ali Dadkhah. He's the one that told her to "shove it". There are about 20 or so groups that were contacted by her. Also other single individuals, like writers, influential Iranians and so on. Apparently, they have not shown any interest in her money. (maybe she was too blatant about it?)

3) "other groups who told her to shove it" - I'm trying to find links, nothing is coming up. Will keep trying, though. Should I start a separate thread, or PM?

4) "investigative journalism" = no, I'm not doing an article on her. I'm a writer, but not of this genre. (wouldn't that be a great one, though?)

This is an interesting story and like you, I'm following it. There's not a lot of information out there. I read a lot of European online newspapers, and that's where I get most of my information. Like the story that she contacted the Shah's son....amazing, my jaw dropped.
