..if this kid-glove treatment - the secret service protection more than a year in advance for one specific candidate (I can understand it, don't get me wrong, but really now), filtering comments like this, etc - is deliberately meant to make Obama come across as sheltered or cowardly or something. It almost feels like a conscious attempt to make him look weak or vulnerable.

"Well gee, look at all the Special Treatment he's getting right out of the gate!" etc.

You know people are going to take what is, in the end, CBS' own decision and hold it against Obama, who has nothing to do with the comments there aside from being in stories which result in their being posted. You know people are going to use it as attack material against him, especially since we're in an environment where attack campaigning is the only kind anyone recognizes anymore.
