What was significant about "the tearing up" wasn't whether she did cry or didn't, or whether she planned to cry or didn't plan to cry, but that so many of us in the public don't see her as genuine and so we suspect her of strategizing everything.

There are people like her husband who are natural born campaigners. And then there are people who aren't. And they look less genuine than those gifted at it.

And those not born with that gift have a harder time. Until they learn to just not care - which I guess would be rather hard to pull off when you are running to be President.
