If Obama wins the nomination it will be an issue and it will have to be dealt with. Trust me on this. I'm not saying TUCC and Wright are bad but they will easily be made to SEEM bad and Obama will be tarred with it. Obama is a transendant and unifying figure, however his "spiritual adviser" (actually imo anyone with a spiritual adviser gives me pause but that's my own issue) is not.

Conason is doing the Obama team a favor with his words and his advice.
