24. That happened to me with Wes Clark. My son and I had driven to Nashville

from Illinois to work on his campaign for 4 days and had given $700.00 to his campaign for a fund raiser in Chicago when we returned home. We headed home on a Sunday, the fund raiser was that following Tuesday. ON OUR WAY HOME from Nashville (which he lost, BTW), I heard on the radio that he was dropping out. I was NOT a happy camper, needless to say. :(
