you cannot be conciliatory to the Republican base, when a major FDR type of correction is needed.

I love the APOLOGIST'S call of , "it's only a game for election purposes", excuse. First, it can't be, because he would be excoriated by the press and voters, if bi-partisanship is a ruse. Second, Obama has been consistent in this message since he appeared on the National Stage at the 2004 Convention, talking his "ONE AMERICA" message.

Obama is an appeasor, looking for friends. Unfortunately, the Republican base is comnprised of self-interested THUGS, who are only interested in thir own portfolios. You cannot cozy up to people who are the polar opposite of an empathetic populist concerned with the welfare of the people.

A true Progressive cannot find a middle ground with social sociopaths. Believing you can, for political expediency, is the language of the contemptible DLC.
