So What is it, Hillary, Are You Independent or Not?

Are you going to distance yourself from Bill and his scandals, or are you going to claim that his experiences as President were your own?

You can't have it both ways.

You can't claim that you were fully involved in implementing his successes, but that you are simultaneously immune from his scandals and failures.

You were either a part of his administration or you were not.

So, which is it? Your surrogates are confused.

Evan Bayh was just interviewed on MSNBC. When asked about why voters should support you, he trumpeted the economic successes of "their administration" in the 90's. When subsequently asked whether Bill's new Kazakh scandal could be a problem for your campaign, he backtracked and heralded your independence from Bill.

So What is it, Hillary, Are You Independent or Not?
