But there are plenty of threads in which s/he could have criticized Obama's stance on energy issues. This thread was seeking to discuss a specific idea, that of the potential running mate.

I don't really like either of our candidates, personally, but I don't understand the need some feel to criticize in *every single post* rather than simply discussing other aspects of the campaign. I don't like Clinton either, but I have had discussions with a friend of mine who is a Clinton supporter on who we think would be a good running mate for her as well. You know, thinkgs like who she needs on her ticket to balance certain issues, who would run interference best in certain areas of the country, etc. Ironically enough, my friend and I both agreed that Richardson would probably be the best choice for both (and I'm not an over the moon fan of his either).
