14. Thank You!! I've considered sitting out the general election (p.s. K&R)

and this was a wonderful reminder of how foolish and selfish that would be. I've written posts myself announcing my intention to vote for whoever is nominated and urging others to do the same, but have been so disheartened lately that I've been wavering on following my own advice. This doesn't change the fact that I'm disappointed and disheartened at how many Democratic voters have allowed the MSM to brainwash them into thinking HRC and Obama were our best ( or only) candidates ( just my opinion--I know that HRC and Obama supporters on DU have well thought out reasons for choosing their candidate and I respect their choice of who to support--but I stand by my view that MSM brainwashing is very real). But your post here, demo dutch, has reminded me that even our worst candidates are far better than the disaster that would be having another repub in the White House ( not to mention all other elective offices). If I have to hold my nose, take a hot shower afterwards to feel clean again, or actually shed a tear over who I compromised myself by voting for, I WILL vote for Democrats for every office on the ballot including president. ( yeah, I know that was kind of over the top melodramatic;" have to take a shower" etc. , but I do feel this disappointment profoundly, and the important point is that I will vote for Obama or HRC and will encourage others like me , who will be thinking " why bother", to think about the consequences of a repub victory.
