Honestly, Shuster's remark was no worse than any given day on Morning Joe or any episode of vintage Tweety. Still, it's a point of reference and worth the trouble of fighting it. There has never been an election cycle like this one. All I ever want from the news is reporting of events, with some analysis on the side. This time entire networks feel free to stump for certain candidates. The pretense of objective news reporting is now officially dead, maybe forever. I know it's been a process, not an event, but it's culminated in this election.
