I am sorry (a sincere apology and a pledge)

I want to apologize for name-calling, flame-baiting, and some isolated incidents of general douchebaggery that I have posted in the past week in GDP.

I got very worked up after spending a long week volunteering for my candidate prior to Super Tuesday.

I am pledging from this day forward to only use DU in the way that Skinner and the founders meant for it to be used as a means to communicate about Democratic issues.

I will continue to defend my views, but not to the point of name calling. I will instead just walk away from a thread if it should get too hot.

I will try to start posts only to communicate issues and positions. I will not assume anything, nor will I try to put words in any candidate or other poster's mouth.

I will try to document any news or positions that I post with the best legitimate news source that I can find.

I will not insult your intelligence if you do not insult mine.

I am clearing out my ignore list, but I am not opposed to adding back to it if I see the need.
