I've been guilty of posting a few nasty posts, myself, particularly while Edwards was in the running, but at least I strove to be FACTUAL, and tried to never parrot RW talking points.

I know how you feel regrding Obama and Clinton, too (and I don't want to kill ANYBODY)...but what I wonder is what would have happened if Al Gore had seriously ran for the nomination. I am sure that you would have seen a LOT less nasty posts and a heck of a lot more unity around here. I do not see this as necessarily a good thing, as those who skate through the primary process may get hammered by surprises the 'Pubs may have up their sleeves in the GE.

Obams and Clinton SHOULD have most of the skeletons out of the closet, just by the nature of this race, by the time a nominee is elected. The candidates we have this cycle seem (at least to me) head and shoulders above the Republicans and the mood of the country seems different, this time.

Just my opinion, however. I DO believe that whoever gets the nomination will be supported pretty fully at DU. There will always be the petty dissenters, but people here will pull together similarly to what we saw in 2004, with Kerry/Edwards.
