I’m tired of being afraid.

I’m sick and tired, actually. For the past eight years I have been afraid to support whom I wish. I don’t just mean from arguments, I mean actually afraid for my safety and vandalism against me. In 2004 I wore my Kerry pin, but I didn’t put up yard signs, or bumper sticks, for fear. And now I find that I can be attacked not only by republicans who disagree with my choices, but also by my fellow democrats?

That’s not right.

The whole Hilary/Barack thing has gotten way out of hand. We’re all democratic people here, and for the most part Hilary and Barack have a lot of the same polices. So it’s really just a matter of picking which one you like better, but I guess that’s wrong; heaven forbid we have even slightly different points of view. :eyes:

To the people, on both sides, who say if their candidate doesn’t get the nomination, they will not vote. I say that is bullshit. In the end, the most important thing is that we get a democratic person into office. As I said before, they both have similar views on most issues, so is it really that much worse if one is chosen over the other? Only that your it isn’t your “favorite.”

Personally, I support Barack, and that’s not wrong! I feel he is something we need right now. That doesn’t make me stupid, or uneducated, or a “cult member.” :eyes:
If Hilary gets the nomination I will support her fully, because she is democratic. And any democratic person is better than a republican. Can we all agree on that much? Can please get together on that one point, so I don’t have fear my own?

Well after my long winded soap box speech, I really have only one point to make here; whomever gets the nomination, just vote! Because if you don’t vote, that achieves only one thing; it takes away from us and just adds more power to the republicans, and I cannot take another four years of them! I can’t, and this country can‘t! So please, for me, for the future. Vote blue. :patriot:

Now I’ll get my sorry ass back to the Lounge where everything doesn’t scare the living crap outta me!
