Aren't we supposed to be progressives? Aren't we supposed to be beyond picking candidates based on race, gender, and other physical attributes?

Call me crazy, but voting for Senator Obama because he's half black (or even if he was all black), to me is every bit as wrong as someone who votes against him for the same reasons.

Voting for Senator Clinton because she's a woman to me is every bit as wrong as somone who votes against her because she's a woman.

I propose that BOTH candidates will make an excellent choice for our leadership, and I deeply hope either, once nominated will select their running mate based on considerably more than such shallow perception based conditions. I hope the nominee looks purely at the best qualified candidate as their running mate without regard to gender, race, orientation, or other non intellectual, or capability based traits.
