that before we are Democrats or Republicans, we are Americans.

Personally, I'm more than happy to welcome Republicans, as long as they are open-minded and respectful. They're going out on a limb by leaving their party. Who can blame them? Aside from the Kool-Aid-drinking freepers, there are a lot of Republicans out there who are fed up with George W. Bush, who are seeing where he's taking this country, and seeing a lot of people suffering, and are looking at us as an alternative.

We need to make room for them - we could turn some of them into Democrats if we don't get too paranoid and chase them off for no reason.
