Give him credit - Obama ran a brilliant campaign.

From the beginning, Hillary was the inevitable nominee. She actually stated that it would all be over on Super Tuesday. But Barack Obama laid out an intelligent plan and a brilliant strategy to winning the election. No doubt, he had a lot of luck and money on his side. He could not have predicted the support that he received over the new media, the Internet. He was rolling in the dough.

But he was very smart to organize and capture the delegates in all those early states while Hillary was concentrating on the big states only. But Obama stayed close in most of the big states that Hillary won. He actually won over 2 million votes in the state of California. Luckily for him, we did not have the Republican system of "winner take all".

When Super Tuesday came and went, Hillary did not have the nomination and she did not have a strategy to continue from that point. At one time during the campaign, Obama won 11 races in a row! In the end, as of tonight, Obama had won 32 states or territories to 16 states for Hillary. He won the popular vote. He won the most delegates. Checkmate.
