43. Hope away. But Clinton has too many negatives to be VP
1) Who could trust her not to undermine anything he is working toward? Their entire modus operandi is diametrically opposed.
2) She and Bill's histrionics would be a distraction. We've got enough drama going on with the nation's problems without having to endure watching the Clintons' personal dramas unfold for the next 4-8 years.
3) He would be better served putting a white male on the ticket to "reassure" the part of America already pushed to the edge of their comfort zone with an AA man at the top of the ticket. There are many choices out there that can appeal to the demographic Hillary has claimed as hers alone.
4) Obama holds the cards with his money raising prowess. I don't think anyone is going to be able to twist his arm to accept Clinton on the ticket. Rather, he's been able to do a little arm twisting of his own, since he's swimming in money and everyone else needs some.
