Monongalia County, checking in. :hi: :dem:

I'm still amazed at the lines! I've been voting at the same polling place for years, but I have never had to stand in line for a primary vote until today. Holy moly. I got to talk to a few of the others who were waiting in line with me, and I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't any arguing or debate. I spoke to two Obama supporters (a man and his wife who'd also brought their little boy) and four Clinton supporters (a middle-aged couple, one single bearded male, and a young lady of eighteen who said this was her very first primary vote. Everyone gave her a round of applause--it was very touching.) Everyone was excited.

My polling place was my son's elementary school, and there looked to be about 40-50 people when I was there; there will likely be a lot more after 5:00 pm, when people start getting off work. We had touchscreen machines with paper printouts, and everything went smoothly.

:woohoo:
