An Obama/Edwards ticket would be the stupidest idea ever

First off, numerous reports from team Kerry said he wouldn't stay on message on the trail, Cheney mopped the floor with him in the debates, need I say more?

This would be the fourth campaign platform that Edwards would have to pimp in as many years, he already gets shit for being a phony in the press, this wouldn't help his cause.

The media and the opposition would constantly deride him as the Dem's perennial VP candidate, you can't run a campaign based on "change" if you are running reruns.

Bush won NC by the same margin in 2000 as 2004, Edwards on the ticket didn't make the state competitive or budge it at all.

He also has the same key weaknesses as Obama, and his VP will need to balance these out. Edwards' spent a couple years in the Senate before running for president, he has no foreign policy cred, and no more experience than Obama.

Overall, it would be just an incredibly stupid idea to put him on the ticket.

Obama would be an idiot to offer, and Edwards an idiot to accept.
