Do you remember who started the whole white plastic chair conspiracy back in 2004? She was the one who called herself a "researcher." Her "research" consisted of screen after screen after screen of links to stuff about people who had similar names to other people, or once lived across the street from them or went to the same school, and the like--very tangential connections, if any at all. She would throw up a 5,000-word post like that, one with about a hundred links in it, and her sycophants would all chime in and praise her "research" and savage anyone who expressed doubts.
