I thought a stroll down history lane was in order.

From Wiki

At the moment of RFK's death, the delegate totals were:

* Hubert Humphrey 561
* Robert F. Kennedy 393
* Eugene McCarthy 258

Only 13 states held a primary at this time:

Results by winners:

Eugene McCarthy: Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin

Robert F. Kennedy: California, Indiana, Nebraska, South Dakota

Lyndon B. Johnson: New Hampshire

Stephen M. Young: Ohio

George Smathers: Florida

RFK was endorsed by:

* Senator Abraham Ribicoff of Connecticut
* Senator George McGovern of South Dakota
* Governor Harold E. Hughes of Iowa
* Senator Vance Hartke of Indiana
* Writer Norman Mailer
* Labor Leader Cesar Chavez
* Actor Robert Vaughn

March 12: New Hampshire Primary McCarthy won 42% to Johnson's 49%.
March 16: Senator Kennedy announced his candidacy.
March 31: Following the New Hampshire primaries and Kennedy's entry into the election, the President Johnson startled the nation by announcing he would not seek re-election.
April 4, : Kennedy gave an impromptu speech in Indianapolis's inner city, announcing that MLK had been shot, in which Kennedy called for a reconciliation between the races.
Riots broke out in 60 cities in the wake of King's death, but not in Indianapolis, a fact many attribute to the effect of this speech.
May, 7th: RFK wins his first primary, in Indiana.
May,14th: Kennedy wins Nebraska.
June 4th : Kennedy wins South Dakota and California.
June, 05: Kennedy was shot in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, by Sirhan Sirhan,

There were only 13 primaries. And New Hampshire was March 12th. In 2008 NH was on January 8th. BIll CLinton had the Nomination wrapped on March 20th, not in June. What else does Hillary misremember ?

Tsongas, Broke, Halts Campaign For Presidency. Clinton Virtually Assured Of Democratic Nomination
By Paul F. Horvitz
Published: FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 1992

WASHINGTON: Paul E. Tsongas, out of money and running a distant second, halted his quest for the presidency on Thursday, leaving Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas as the presumptive Democratic Party nominee to face President George Bush in November.

Herald Tribune.

Trying to compare Bill Clinton in '92 and RFK in '68 thru the common denominator: June, doesnt compute. There is no June connection, it doesnt exist.
