47. A good question.
I think Obama is a politician who will do what politicians do. That is, do what is necessary to achieve and retain power.

However, I also think that Obama will try to move away from the DLC politics of winning by appealing to the right because the policies of the right are abject failures.

Thus, I think, that he will try to move left because the tide is beginning to turn that way, or at least, the tide is rejecting the right.

I doubt that he will, personally, pose any real threat to the corrupt system now in power, but (admittedly a big but) he may set in motion a movement in that direction simply by not rejecting the left automatically.

Something the Clintons have done throughout their political career.
