A Gracious Loser? (McPalin reaction to my flag!)

As promised, on November 4th, I raised my flag over my yard in celebration of Obama's impending victory.

My next door neighbors put a McCain/Palin sign in their front yard about 5 weeks ago. I was disgusted by it, but we never spoke about it.

On November 5th, their McCain/Palin sign was down by sunrise.

I noticed something strange today though: Now they too have raised an American flag on their flagpole!

I welcomed this, but was puzzled. One of two explanations, which do you think is more likely? I'm hoping the second one, personally.

1. They refuse to be "out patriot-ed" by me...

or

2. They supported McPalin, hopefully weren't proud of the rhetoric their candidate was spewing, and now that the McPalin hatefest is over, and they're seeing more fair news coverage of Obama, they realize that his win is truly a reason to be proud of America and opted to hoist their flag as well.

Either way, it looks like 2 happy American households on our cul-de-sac, where is last week it didn't look nearly as unified!
