I just find it interesting that during Obama's campaign a recurrent theme was that he couldn't do it without us. That change rises from the bottom up.

And now I'm hearing from a lot of Obama partisans that we need to sit down and let him do things as he sees fit. The we owe him our trust. That HE is going to change things (from the top.)

It just feels like they're saying that the bottom up contribution to this process is over. That what WE have contributed was our vote and that now we need to sit back and trust Obama to go the right way.

My irritation is not with Obama. He's a centrist. I'm hip to that. It's the DUer's who are taking an aggressive "don't criticize, because Obama ran a great campaign" tact that I have a problem with.

This guy needs to be pushed. Not given space to be moved in the wrong direction. It's up to each citizen to decide which way to push him, but we shouldn't be sitting back.

IMHO.
