prove she is the most respected/adored person in the world. There are over 6 billion people on this planet. As wonderful as Barack Obama is, and as much as I trust his opinion because he earned my trust, he is only one of those 6+ billion people- not even close to a majority. If the OP is going to make statements like "Clinton Is The Most Respected/Adored Figure In The World" then the OP should back them up with actual statistics like "newspapers in each country were ask to rate which public figure they most respected and here are the results...". Otherwise it's just opinion.

Now, if the OP had instead said "I think Hillary Clinton is possibly one of the most respected/adored public figures in the world and therefore will make a great SOS..." then that would be a different story. People may *disagree* with the opinion, but the OP would have every right to hold that opinion. Opinions (which usually contain phrases like "I think..." or "Perhaps..." or "As far as I'm concerned...") do not necessarily require statistics. Blanket statements told as absolute truths (such as "Clinton Is The Most Respected/Adored Figure In The World" or "Global warming doesn't exist") require actual proof if you don't want people calling you out. And by proof, I mean something a little more scientific than "Well Barack Obama hired her so she MUST be the most respected/adored figure in the world."
