Guys, if you try to stick to the facts and ignore the innuendo and speculation which your political foes in the corporate media splash across the nation's airways and on the internet and in the newspapers, you will find yours president-elect facing an impeachment at the hands of a new Republican majority in 2010.

We elected a new administration. Not a new set of corporate masters.

BTW, I forgot to mention that Rove and Co. will attempt to blackmail Pelosi and other Democrats into failing to stand behind Obama's AG. They will do this by threatening that if Obama brings charges against anyone for torture they will accuse Pelosi and other Congressional Dems of being guilty too because some of them were notified about the program

Being spineless Democrats they will comply. Why? They have seen progressives, like the people at DU eat their own elected representatives because corporate media whores and Bush DOJ political attorneys have told them to. Pelosi and all will forget that they have the excuse But we did not really understand what they were talking about, and we did not have the power to authorize or prevent anything, and national intelligence rules prevented us from speaking out . These Congressional Dems will recall how quick people at DU have been to denounce and reject their own Democratic leaders. and they will decide that it is safer if there are no war crimes trials.

And it will be the fault, ultimately, of the Democrats. So, decide now, Democrats, what is more important? Making sure that America never does this again? Or preserving your right to pitch a collective hissy fit against one of your own so that you can flex your muscles and gloat over your power the next time the MSM decides that it wants to target a Democrat because the corporate bosses have told them that doing so will protect Republicans like Bush, Cheney and Rove.

Just wait. Sooner or later, Obama will be the one in their sights, and you will not believe how many Democrats will be ready let him take a fall. They will be the supporters of all the other Dems who were allowed to fall, because they were not Obama so they did not count.

That is where we are heading if we try to write off Richardson on this one. I would like to see a little outrage at DU over this indictment. Instead I see a lot of Oh, my. I hope it just does away. Let's ignore it.
