10. Hey... I'm A Boomer & Have A Daughter & Son, Who Both Have Families... |

I've collected political memorabilia since "forever" and have been given some from my father and my in-laws from waaaaaaaaaay back! I have copies of Life Magazines going back to WWII that THEY collected. Since I was introduced and became a political junkie at the early age of 11 I was the natural recipient of THEIR collections.
I will say they didn't collect like I do, but I do have some very interesting "old" political memorabilia. My plan right now is to keep the more recent collection to pass along to them, but am seriously thinking about "selling out" my older items. Haven't researched prices yet because the economy is so bad, but when it recovers I think I would like to cash in.
BTW, I also collected Rolling Stone magazines from '68 through the '70's. Stopped subscribing in the 80's, started back up in '92 and stopped in 2004. I "gave" them away to my ex son-in-law because we shared the same enthusiasm for Rolling Stone. My daughter divorced him, and it was for the best, but we were very close and I wanted him to have them. The divorce was amicable, but he was really hurt. We remain good friends to this day, as does my daughter and her husband. Her new husband is a FANTASTIC step-father to my grand-kids and we ALL get along to this day. She's been married to her new hubby for 10 years now.
We're ALL LIBERALS... we get along well! But I'm not sure how happy they'll be when I begin to "sell off," but they'll get enough to keep for their later years!
