Some of Bill Clinton's "Cheap" Words
Advertisements [?]
So Hillary says words are "cheap." That they don't mean much. OK, so here are some words of Bill Clinton's, another very gifted political orator. Hm. Just words??? Don't get me wrong, I think they're all good words, even if some are very close to what others before him have said. Unlike the Hillary campaign I won't begrudge him that and take the low road of branding him a "plagiarist." The point is, when Obama is speaking powerful words, Hillary and her people trivialize it. But what about Bill's many lofty words and speeches?? I smell some bigtime hypocrisy here.

So here you are. Several of Bill's most memorable "cheap words.":

"I still believe in a place called Hope."

"There is nothing wrong with America that can't be fixed by what is right with America."
(Others have expressed similar ideas.)

“Big things are expected of us, and nothing big ever came of being small.”

“If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.” (Similar to what MANY others have said; i.e. Vince Lombardi: "Winners never quit and quitters never win." Etc.)

“We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.”

“Sometimes when people are under stress, they hate to think, and it's the time when they most need to think.” (Many others have said similar things.)

“I like that about the Republicans: the evidence does not faze them, they are not bothered at all by the facts.” (Similar to Daniel Patrick Moynihan: "You have a right to your own opinion but not your own facts.)

“Success is not the measure of a man but a triumph over those who choose to hold him back.” (Others have made similiar comments.)

“Globalization is not something we can hold off or turn off . . . it is the economic equivalent of a force of nature -- like wind or water.”

“We should, all of us, be filled with gratitude and humility for our present progress and prosperity. We should be filled with awe and joy at what lies over the horizon. And we should be filled with absolute determination to make the most of it.”
