16. There are a few differences that changed the coverage
1)The shooting at Red Lake is 300 miles away from the cities and the major TV stations. The shooting at ROCORI was only 60 from the major area TV stations. All of the evacuation and search of the school would have happened in the first hour or so of the event so it would be difficult the stations to have live feed of people evacuating the school and interviewing them.

2) After the ROCORI shooting I hope the TV stations are learning not to create overly sensational stories. They may be looking back and reviewing what worked and did not work for them in regards to reporting events like this.
