5. Heh, you're in for a scrap with the ID thing....
...but it's a good fight to take. Some years back, Roy Moore's Fine Band of Lunatics (a.k.a., the Christian Family Association) came up to Brown County trying to push us to post the Ten Commandments in the BC Courthouse. It was a big to-do, but they eventually lost after some hard fighting by Rabbi Sid and other loyal Dems. I wrote a few letters to the editor speaking out against it.

The religious wedge stuff lights up the local political scene like few other issues. Be prepared to take a few lumps, but in the end, if you fight hard, you'll come out on top. But this stuff is the reason we need good Democrats on the school board. Thinking about running? Go for it!
