Perhaps you should root for the Orioles, if you are in MD.

I think your anger and dare I say petulance has more to do with the fact that your team isn't doing too well this year. There are too many "stars" on that team, who get paid a boatload, and they aren't performing up to their salary levels. And I get the sense that they don't especially like each other. They lack a certain esprit de corps, IMHO.

See, Red Sox fans don't get upset to the point of apoplexy at losses, even when they are perceived to be unfair, because we've been inured. Even when the Sox do have a good season, they always go into a slump at some point, and then we have a bit of despair, and pick ourselves up and continue to cheer for them. Cubs fans understand the drill.

There's a maturity that comes with waiting.
