2:04.45 is very slow, and the early fractions were rapid. I'm sure there will be discussion that the final mile of the race was the slowest in decades. I remember Cannonade ran 2:04 in 1974. This might be the slowest since that point.

Borel is now a legend.

Great pick by everyone who took Super Saver. He dropped from 15-1 to 7-1 and only a small portion was the $100,000 bet.

I hate that a horse with that cheap and uninspiring name won the Derby. I barely looked at that horse, probably because of the name. Dumb me.

Let's hope many of the trail horses contest the Preakness. Noble's Promise looks like a hard trying second tier type, always destined to fall short in top company, but a troubled horse like Lookin at Lucky could move forward. Ice Box will probably point to the Belmont but that doesn't always work out for a Derby late running near miss.
