but, in the same way Secretariat was a bright spot in the darkness of the Vietnam war and Watergate, Big Brown and his connections are a metaphor of Bush's America. Greedy, talentless, unethical punks rubbing our noses in the shithole of a world they've made for us.

Maybe that is a little melodramatic.
