1. This is a good story
it might be describing Buffalo/Lackawanna as the steel mills starting shuting down and neighborhoods grew poor and the young people moved on to greener pastures and those that had nothing moved into the vacuum.

I am thinking you lived this.

I would not presume to be critical of your writing style.

So I will not.
