37. Fair enough.
But there is a significant difference between "I'm not seeing a lot of support for my position on Warren giving the invocation".... and "People here aren't supportive of gays and lesbians". Don't you think?

Speaking for myself:

I support gay marriage. Completely. No qualifiers, no reservations, no special conditions. I see zero justification for disallowing it. Period.

However... at the very same time:

I do not see Warren being invited to give the Invocation as Obama making some kind of attack on the gay communuity... not when he specifically, explicitly, and very publicly stated that he does not agree with Warren's gay rights positions and is reaching out to him for poverty and HIV/AIDS efforts where they share common ground. That statement eliminates any way to rationally claim that Warren's place at the inauguration is an endorsement or legitimization of his anti-gay rights agenda. You can't say the guy who just flat out said "no he's wrong about this" is sending the message "oh he's got a legitimate point about this". You just can't. It doesn't work.

So if you are arguing that the Warren invite is some kind of blatant assault on the gay community... then no, on THAT particular question I do not support you. We are in a state of disagreement on that one.

Does that then mean I am not supportive of gays and lesbians.. full stop end of sentence? Many here seem to be jumping enthusiastically to that declaration.
