About the passage of Amendment 2 and Proposition 8.

I really, really don't understand homophobia. You don't want to marry someone of your own gender? Fine. No one's forcing you to. You don't want gays married in your church? They probably wouldn't want to be if your church is that unwelcoming, and no one's forcing your church to marry them anyway. My church would be happy to host the nuptials+: we've done it for decades. GBLT people just want the same rights everyone else has.

After Tuesday, I feel like I should apologize for being straight, since so many of us are clearly bigots.

Hell, the other night I did apologize for being straight to a Lesbian acquaintance. She patted me on the shoulder and reassured me "I know how you feel. Up until now I felt like I had apologize for being an American".

But I'm still :banghead:
