It had to hurt like hell to write that, let alone live it. You are not alone. Please know that. Your fight is my fight.
Americans, sadly, will not be equal in this country until we are ALL equal under the eyes of the law. I will fight with you for the laws that are needed.

I wish people had hearts big enough to see that we are all equal, period. I wish that love would win out over hatred every time. Some day - maybe?
So now, we fight together, to win what should be your right without our ever even having to say it - your right to love anyone you choose, your right to marry that person, to have all the laws that protect straight couples, protect GLBT couples.

I, for one, promise that I won't stop fighting until you have the same rights I do. It's beyond my depth of understanding that I even have to type out that sentence.
You should have been born with those rights. No one should have to fight for the right to be themselves.
I will fight with you now, not only so that you can have those rights, but so that future generations will be born with every right due them as human beings.
