It'd be hard to look at, since there are so many personal references woven in- yet there is a collective consciousness theme. It seems like a highly evolved, advanced sort of dream. Going back to visit your mom and it just happens that she died in 1998, before all of this mishegas started, and things were more normal. So possibly our country's collective grief impacting you in some way, because of the death of both parents. I also think the #5 would be important to look at, though there are so many different interpretations, how would you find the right one. In tarot, 5 is associated with loss or restriction or strife. Yet astrologically it is connected to leo and the 5th house, which is a really playful creative house.
Maybe the 5 people going back in time could refer to the 5-4 supreme court decision in favor of *? In any case, it might show your unconscious presenting various probable future outcomes for what has happened. As well, you are apparently feeling the need for people to take more seriously the deterioration of our country, and to stop minimizing the reckless behavior of those in charge.
