In terms of karma, it is the intent that is very important.

Those people who have supported the Iraqi invasion, the deaths, torture, maiming of innocents will accrue negative karma, which they will have to face in this life or a future one. And I do believe America will have collective karma it will have to face in the future.

And yes, one can claim to be "spiritual" or religious" and be far from it. Just like all people with psychic gifts are not necessarily spiritual.

Everyone is at a different stage of soul evolution and growth; we cannot really assume anything until we check it out.
