I didn't, wouldn't, couldn't bear it. But you know, I think she came from a traditionally "liberal" family. So I've always thought this must be torment for her. Until I just completely discounted her.

I also remember, although it may not be accurate, that Laura is pro=choice.

Maybe that's why she's always drugged now.

I didn't follow what you were saying about Karen Hughes. But since she was a moderating influence on *, and apparently viewed Rove as too out there, this may all be killing her. If she's essentially honest, and cares about the country, any honest R must at some point begin to question what is going on. But would it be sooner or later?

She's a close friend of his, and obviously thinks a lot of him, but she may really not like what's been going on for some time.
